A well-known and popular hike in South America takes place along the Inca Trail in the country of Peru. It is quite an extraordinary experience. In total, the trail consists of 25,000 miles of paths that stretches north to south through the countries of Chile, Ecuador, and Peru. Built some five centuries ago, the Classic Inca Trail is the most famous portion of the Inca road system. At Cusi Travel, we offer multiple Inca Trail Tours you can choose from based on the preferences of your group.
Inca Trail 2D/1N
This is a two-day hike that travels the same Inca Trail that the Incas used to arrive at Machu Picchu. Along this short trail, you will see historic Inca ruins, cascading waterfalls, and take in the fauna and flora of the National Park. You also tour the preserved citadel of Machu Picchu and get to visit this important site twice. This is a short hike among the Inca Trail Tours we offer and is catered to those who want to follow a portion of the historic Inca Trail straight into Machu Picchu, but avoid the longer Trail hike as well as camping.
Traditional Inca Trail Hike 4D/3N
This is a four day Inca Trail hike that culminates in Machu Picchu. Along this trail, you will follow the same path and walk along the same stone steps that Inca royalty used to reach their city. Many archaeological sites and farming terraces – used for lodgings, administrative tasks, and religious ceremonies – will be visible along the way. In addition, you’ll witness a large array of fauna and flora as you pass through various ecological zones. You will be witness to history as well as beautiful scenery as you head toward Machu Picchu. This is the most popular hike option among our Inca Trail Tours.
Salkantay Plus Inca Trail Hike 6D/5N
This is a six day Salkantay Trail Hike, perfect for trekkers who are ready for a challenging hike that leads them to one of the highest passes referred to as Inca Chiriasca – 16,400 feet high. It then follows a secluded valley before linking to the Traditional Inca Trail.
